Mr Takehiko Wakayama

After joining Asset Managers Group ("AMG") in 2003, Mr. Wakayama has contributed its growth in merchant banking business for the corporate finance and investment. In 2004, he was appointed as CEO of Asset Investors Co. Ltd.,("the Company") then acquired by AMG. 

He has led the transformation of the Company from a pure fabric and textile production business into the investment business; currently the Company actively invests into the corporate equity and real estate in Japan and greater China area. During the time, the market capitalization of the Company has increased from 10 mm USD to 300 mm USD.

Mr. Wakayama started his merchant banking career at the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (LTCB) in 1989. He experienced variety of banking fields domestically and internationally including foreign exchange trading, corporate finance and also principal investment. In 1998, he moved to Merrill Lynch as vice president in Corporate Sales where he executed a lot of corporate finance and investment deals and expanded his network to a great extent. In 2000, he, as a co-founder, started eBank Corporation which now offers unique internet banking services successfully.

Born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, he was graduated from Tokyo University in 1989 and moved to the US from 1992 to 1994 to earn Master of Business Administration degree at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

- Joined to establish Kook-Il Travel Services Inc. with the Title of General Manager on the March of 1989
- Obtained The Title of the Manager at the Overseas Travel Department in 1989
- Entered into Korea Travel Inc. at the October of 1981
