Mr Masayuki Makino

Masayuki Makino is the CEO of Works Applications, the leading Japanese ERP vendor for large-sized corporations.

He started his career gaining valuable experience at a listed construction company where he handled a wide range of projects, including systems development for managing overseas purchases. After this, he became the director of a software engineering company. In 1994, at the age of 31, he established his own IT systems-consulting company. In cooperation with Sanwa Bank and IBM Japan, the company developed a systems consulting tool for medium-sized enterprises, adapted and localized a number of non-Japanese ERP (Enterprise Recourse Planning) packages for Japanese corporations and provided consultation on systems development for companies in various industries.

In 1996, he established Works Applications and became Executive Vice President. In 2001, Works Applications went public on the JASDAQ stock exchange and Makino became Representative Director and CEO of the company.

Works Applications has more than 50% of the market for ERP packaged software in the HRM (Human Resource Management and Pay Roll) area for large-sized corporations in Japan. The company released an accounting ERP packaged software series this year.

Mr Futoshi Hattori
President

Futoshi Hattori, the man who has a soul of self-innovation was born on December 1, 1936 in the downtown of Nagoya. In 1980, aimed to remarket the used car distribution market in Japan, he found the first used car auction company in Japan, named USS (Used Car System Solutions). As the result of his vision, the group companies always ahead of the times and continuously pioneering new ways of doing business. With introducing information technologies into auction, such as POS and digital audio system, the used car auction market in Japan has been steadily growing. Moreover, USS started salvaged vehicle auctions in 2001, as same as reusable vehicle auction in 2003 to help realize a recycling-oriented society.

Ms Eva Chen
CEO
Trend Micro Inc

Ever since its inception in 1988, Eva has helped spearhead Trend Micro's emergence as one of the world's most innovative antivirus security companies. Before becoming CEO, Eva served as executive vice president from 1988-1996 and CTO from 1996-2004. During that time, she made an indelible mark on the company and the security landscape as a whole. She produced a chronology of industry firsts, from industry-changing products to outbreak management approaches. As a result of her innovation and leadership, she was appointed CEO in late 2004.

Throughout her career, Eva has received industry recognition for her achievements in information security. An avid writer and frequent speaker, Eva has delivered numerous keynotes and produced numerous papers and articles on Internet security. Of her many accolades and accomplishments, some of the most prominent include:

• One of the top five "Women of Vision", Information Security, 2003
• Tribute to Women in the Industry (TWIN) award, YWCA, 2001

Eva holds a master's degree in business administration as well as a master's degree in information science from the University of Texas, Dallas. She earned a degree in philosophy from Chen Chi University in Taipei, Taiwan.

Mr Yoichi Wada
President and Representative Director
Square Enix Co., Ltd.

Yoichi Wada, born in 1959, is the President and Representative Director of SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD.

Prior to current role at SQUARE ENIX, Mr. Wada was named positions in SQUARE, as CFO in June 2000, COO in September 2001, and President and CEO in December 2001. Immediately after joining SQUARE, Mr. Wada got to work on reorganization and revitalization of the company. As a result of the reform of the management system, SQUARE's profitability has recovered dramatically for a short period of time, and the company recorded the highest operating margin in its history in fiscal year 2002. In April 2003, under Mr. Wada's leadership, the merger between ENIX and SQUARE was accomplished with a strategic intent to be well prepared for coming changes in the digital content industry. Since then, Mr. Wada has continued and attained the growth that exceeds 30% of operating margin.

Prior to joining SQUARE, Mr. Wada had been developing his career with Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. since 1984. He served in Corporate Strategy Division, Investment Banking Division, and Controller Division. He played a key role in introducing of consolidated managerial accounting system and risk management system in Nomura Securities companies worldwide.

Mr. Wada received a bachelor's degree in law from The University of Tokyo.
